Large Swedish successes in general and for Kviberg in particular, and the rifle to Denmark. That's how the 2015 Swedish Cup rifle competitions in Sävsjö Shooting Center can be summarized.

150105 Swedish Cup dag 3a 013 Margins grinned against Mikael Svensson from Aspö, Sweden, the earlier days at the Swedish Cup, but on the third day of competition it was finally his finale Sävsjö Shooting Center.

Since the overall winner over three days, Steffen Olesen from Denmark, eliminated as bronze medalist of the day Mikael together with Marcus Madsen, Linkoping, was left to compete about the gold.

Before the two final shots Madsen led with 0.4 points. In the 19th shot Svensson scored10.7 against 10.5 for Madsen. In the 20th and last shot Svensson scored the perfect 10.9 against Madsen's 10.3. That meant Svensson now had 206.4 points to 206.0 points for Marcus.
- It was really tight all the time. The decimals have been on the wrong side earlier, so I think it was my turn today, Mikael said immediately after the victory.

Tough for the Swedish men juniors

The Swedish men's juniors are struggling to assert themselves right now. Monday's finale included two Swedish shooters and Kevin Westberg from Söderala reached the highest position with a sixth place.

Instead Benjamin Tingsrud Karlsen, Norway, became the clear winner with 204.6 points. Runner up Mads Hansen from Denmark scored 201.0 points. Third place went to Sebastian Långström from Finland.

Magnus Björnstad from Norway won a total of three days.

Second victory for Birch Nielsen

In women's junior finale, which ended the whole Swedish Cup, Camilla Birch Nielsen won her second victory with 206.5 points. As happy as Camilla were the students on Aleholms Shooting High School since Emilia Bedoire from Filipstad, student on the high school and who practices in Sävsjö Shooting Center on a daily bases, won the silver with 203.8 points.
Marianne Palo from Finland won the bronze.

Best woman junior in total during Swedish Cup was Swedish Nina Bjärehäll  who really broke through making it to three straight finals, winning one gold and one bronze.

A really good weekend for Kvibergs SF

Best rifle club (although there is no such award in the competition) may be Kviberg from Gothenburg. What else can be said when they took five out of six  titles in the senior classes. Karl-Johan Jönsson began with two gold and Andrea Franzen-Wallberg won one gold before teammate Irene Helmersson took over and won both Sunday and Monday.

- Today everything went much easier than yesterday. I turned the audience clapping to a positive thing during the last shot in yesterday's final. You have to have some little tricks to calm yourself and do something good, Irene said after Monday's triumph.

In the final, she was challenged primarily by Martina Landis from Switzerland (third place) and Astrid Steffensen, Denmark. Finally Helmersson won with 205.6 points to 204.8 for Steffensen.

The award for best shooter in the womens event went to Yvonne Schlotterbeck, Germany. She was one of two shooters who were qualfied to the finale the third day without starting in it.

Rifle
to Denmark this year

If Nina Bjärehäll had won the finale in the womens junior event she would have been titled the competitions top scorer of four international classes. But since she didn't win, instead the title was given to Steffen Olsen from Denmark thanks to his stable shooting during the qualifications and finals. For this he received the competition's special prize - an air rifle.
